Hey; not to worry, Mate; I experienced a very similar phenomenon watching that coverage on FOX - and I'm not all that emotional a guy, generally.

Like one commentator just pointed out, he looks like he "belongs" flying a jet onto an aircraft carrier under way; nothing phony - like Dukakkas in the tank - about that at all.

And as many have observed, the loyalty, respect, and devotion between this Commander and his Crew was awesomely powerful and genuine. President Bush seemed to wrap his arms around the entire crew of that flat-top - about 5,300 of them, aren't they? - and they collectively wrapped their arms around him in return.

Did you notice how several of the "Abe"s brave young Ladies, when "W" gathered them close under his wing for a group photo, rested their heads on his shoulder as they might their "Daddy"? So beautiful!

Not to impose "religion" on anyone here, but personally I'm thanking God for a true LEADER of this once great, and potentially great-again, Country of ours!

I'm so psyched, I'll follow both threads!

I have no doubt he flew the COD, that's easy. I do doubt that he landed it but I still have to optimistically wonder.

Me too. I thank God for President Bush. He's such a great example to all, and shows such deep respect for each one of those people that he met aboard that ship. I love it too when he shakes their hands kind of roughly. He's such a man's man. It reminds me of when my husband shakes hands with another man he really likes a lot. It just shows that manly affection. So cool!

Not that the rapist would have done this(he'd sh$t in his pants)..the crew would have had to been ordered above deck to *greet* him......the military loves our CinC, you can see it on all their faces.

Exactly. All the Clinton-lovers can take note: this is what a REAL MAN looks like, and this is how he conducts himself. Double cool.

I am so glad to be on your ping list, Howlin! These photos of the President show him to be a vibrant, focused, in-charge All-American MAN, and I'm busting with pride in him.

This will surely shock and awe the world!!!!! LOL

And the Democrats are wetting their pants. Kerry is looking like a Frenchified, limp-wrist, amoral ditherer!
