Thank heavens some good military pilot is handling this flying job!
I know that if I was flying the President of the USA...the pressure would be too much!

I'm sure that for the old hands who hung on in the military during the
dark (Clinton) years, it feels like "In America, It's Morning Again".

(my rough recollection of Reagan's campaign line during the 1984 campaign)

....No pictures of a commander in chief staring at boobs of the female sailors.....

Some of us dirty old men have been trying to do just that. The problem is, with all that funny looking head gear and the heavy bright colored clothing, it's pretty hard to tell who's what.

"Any man or woman has to like this guy."

I do. He is destined to be one of our greatest Presidents ever. That is,unless , the Socialists allow it, and don't re-write history.

I don't like Socialists.

I enjoyed reading your personal profile. I am a smoker, also.

What an awesome thread of what will become historic photos.

I seem to keep hearing "Hail To The Chief" as I look at all the pictures on this thread.

As Paul Harvey says to courageous souls, I say aloud for Dubya:
"LEAD ON!"

Yes, thank you. Yes, Dubya is a real guy. He's the real deal, a man. He's connected to the real world. Did you notice all the beaming, smiling and PROUD faces of ALL the differnt "ethnic" and gender groups on board. They all LOVED THE GUY. Our military is great!

Wow, photographed 1997 on that right-hand picture. I didn't think any F-102s or F-106s were still flying.

No smug, arrogant, condescending, faux man of "the people" like Clinton or Carter either. Bush is the real, genuine deal. He has some humility and a lack of hubris.

We taped the whole thing!! We couldn't get the smiles off our faces as we watched the BEST Commander in Chief to grace this great nation in quite some time, land on the deck of the USS Lincoln (Ok.. so there were a few tears of pride in our eyes too as he stood with our troops).

As any pilot can tell you, the President LOVED every second of being in that cockpit, and we noticed he was in no hurry to leave the flight deck and his visits with the troops.

The way he treated the troops is unprecedented. The man genuinely has RESPECT and APPRECIATION for their service.

It was an awesome thing to witness. We are both glad we taped it. The only thing that would have been better than watching it, would have been to be there in person. This visit sent a loud and clear message to ALL the troops. He cares about them.

He knows the responsibility he has, he's sincere. That is so important considering what we ask of our brave young men and women.

Lets just hope America remembers how important it is to have a Commander in Chief the troops "respect", come 2004!!

Now if each member of the military and four of their family members , and each veteran and four of their family members vote for "W"...........Hmmmmm.....I'd say his chances of being re-elected by a landslide are pretty good.

That is highly inappropriate behavior and not very professional.

Not half as inappropriate, unprofessional and dangerous as taking off your cranial on the flight deck. Lighten up. If the president (or the CO) is gladhanding everyone around him, then it's common courtesy to join in the relaxed atmosphere that's been ushered in.

Remember, G.W. was an F-16 driver in the Air National Guard.

F-16's weren't around when the President was in the ANG. He flew the F-102.
