I don't think this is a make or break issue for the customer. You would be wrong. For the vast majority of their customers they could put the satanic bible in the room and they wouldn't care. But when it comes to attracting the high rollers and whales this is truly a make or break issue. They will walk over far less.

I totally agree. I've read dozens of testimonies of people getting saved by reading God's Word from a Gideon's Bible.

Gideons don't place Bibles without permission - that's the whole point of this story. They are seeking permission.

"You could do the Mormon Bible, the Koran, the Old Testament, the New Testament, the Greek New Testament. ... Where we ended up is we're not going to put anything in there,"
I'm unfamilier with any group organized specifically to offer any of these publications FREE to put in hotel rooms, among other places. They may be out there, but I haven't heard of them.
I must say that if I were a guest in a hotel in Salt Lake City, Riyadh, Tel Aviv, etc, and I found some publication other than the Bible, I would not be surprised or offended, but I guess that's just good old-fashioned American tolerance on my part.
My point is, sometimes we are too quick to throw out the baby with the ba'ath.

You couldnt even begin to make up some of the reality in these suites to accomidate their visitors. If refusing the Gideons request helps keep their customers happy, then refuse the Gideons. What percentage of their guests are actually upset that the Gideons place a Bible there?

Who cares. The bottom line is it is private property and they can tell the Gideons to stick it if thats what they want to do.

I've been to Vegas around 20 times, staying in a different hotel practically every time, and I've yet to see a bible anywhere near the place. Bibles are in the Venetian and the Bellagio, they have gold covers!
