Anybody have any idea (based on experience or news releases, not inside info) how long the 82d will have a presence in Iraq & Afghanistan? I am supposed to PCS to Bragg in March and am trying to figure out of there's any chance I might get the chance to be sent overseas immediately.

I don't know anything about that (and if anyone does have that info I'm not sure it should be posted on a public forum).

Best of luck to you though -- it sounds like a chance for some real "life adventures." While I got through Airborne school okay I've never had a chance to serve with such an elite unit as the 82d. I admire what you're doing!
