Thanks for posting this news of a good sheriff. I wish the people of Cochise County had someone like him.

Joe,

Your statement, "Well this California Sheriff is the Sheriff of the *largest* county in America. Let's see if other Sheriffs in other states has the guts this California Sheriff does!" is great.

I went to google and found sheriffs email addresses for the different states. May I use your comment to add to this article as a P.S.?

South Texas. Right smack dab in the middle. Approximately 10 miles from the border.

I want to thank you also for putting me on your ping list. This is an issue of great concern to me.

My husband and I moved to rural Alaska from Houston, TX. It was becoming more and more like a third-world country there, with all the same problems being experienced in California and Arizona.

laughable pieces of crap

Good description of those cards. It seems that "illegal" isn't illegal anymore, and the silence from our President is deafening.

"Rudy Cabriales", wonder if his parents would hold up to close inspection of their citizenship.

How people feel about the issue does depend a lot on where they live and how much they see first hand. There are people further north who have no idea of conditions in Mexico and how fast things are changing just north of the border as we are overrun. It's not that people don't feel sorry for everyone in Mexico ---they've been denied an education and have few job skills that allow them to be self-sufficient ---a few are self-sufficient --- but most will join the generational welfare class. Especially those who manage to get right on every program available ---they'll be a permanent dependent class and aren't very motivated to learn English or much else. In Texas there is a 50% drop-out rate in hispanics --many dropout in middle school and will become dependents of the taxpayers whether they end up in prison or government housing projects.

You're welcome.

You're lucky you could move to Alaska. It's nice to know you are still concerned about the issues, even though you have moved. That's what I call being a patriot.

Oh sure! They were loyal citizens of Los Estados Unidos de Mexico for many generations.

Undoubtedly. And young Rodolfo is trying to expand the territorial boundaries of that country in an effort to make his parents proud.

Aren't we all proud of him?

I'm in Houston and you are absolutely correct. I've got to get the hell out of this city, it's turning more and more into Mexico by the day. I recently went shopping at the store we went to as a child, and was the only non-Hispanic in the whole place. The pages over the intercom were even in Spanish. When did this happen?? This area used to be so nice but it's not anymore. It now looks and sounds like a third world country.
