Bush allows PLO's American offices to remain open [GIVE ME A BREAK]
Jerusalem Post ^ | Apr. 17, 2003 | JANINE ZACHARIA

Posted on 04/17/2003 1:11:10 PM PDT by yonif

US President George W. Bush invoked a national security waiver on Wednesday to prevent sanctions from being levied on the PLO for a period of six months.

Under the Foreign Relations Act of 2003, PLO non-compliance with signed peace accords and continued use of terror and violence would force the president to impose at least one of a menu of sanctions unless he invokes a waiver contained in the law.

President Bush's decision to waive sanctions on the PLO comes as his administration plans to try to jumpstart the dormant Middle East peace process.

much more often than not Israel's interests coincide or overlap with ours. For example, both countries share a common interest in hunting down and destroying the various Islamofascist terrorist organizations that infest that part of the world.

Which Al Qaeda terrorists has Israel tracked down and destroyed? Seems to me they are focusing on those terrorists that are attacking them, all the time probably chuckling to themselves about now you Americans know what we have have putting up with.

I haven't even mentioned US intelligence reports that Syria is helping the Saddamites escape US capture.

Low level Saddamites are escaping to Syria. The upper level guys are all getting caught in Iraq because they dont trust Syrians anymore than we do.

And this fits in this thread, how? What is with you "Israel can do no right types", that every time terrorists get discussed you begin to bubble over like a too full cesspool?

Maybe if you "Israel can do no wrong types" didnt always go bizerk and demand that Bush do this or do that to satisfy your every desire. In this case, close down the PLO office in NY (?) which would have been a stupid thing to do if he is to even try to make a good faith effort to get Israel and the PLO talking again.

The very premise that you propose, that the Americans were killed to prevent them from being human shields is incredible!

What you read into my post is even beyond my comprehension to understand. I dont have a clue as to what you are talking about. Do you always think in this fashion?

You forgot the two dozen American's killed in Israel by the PLO in the last couple of years... They don't count because, uh, why is it that they don't count?

I sure wouldnt count them if they were dual citizens. If they were dual citizens I certainly wouldnt count on them as Americans.

Yeah, negotiating with terrorists works. /sarcasm If and when we want to communicate with terrorists, we can tell them the when and where. How absurd.

Have you had the TV on any time in the last couple of weeks?

Yes, I have. Have you? I havent noticed Saudi Arabia, Jordan or Egypt going to war against us. In fact we were using air bases in two of those countries. Did a few idiots cross the border and fight for Saddam. Sure. But then we had at least a half dozen US citizens in Afghanistan training with Bin Laden. So whats your point?

None of the nations I mentioned is stupid enough to go to war against the US. The Chineese on the other hand could be if they continue to arm, with Israels help.

The PLO needs to be dealt with like any other terrorist, murdering organization. Isolation and destruction on our terms, not theirs.

So on one side of your face attacking Britain is bad, but on the other side of your face attacking Britian is good by Washington.

Again I dont have a clue what you are talking about. Are you really an American in Israel? Is English a second language to you? What???

This shows a dangerously loose grasp of reality and a whole lot of hate. My guess is you are a step short of becoming a genocidal maniac. Being Bigoted, and insane (the definition of loose grasp of reality) needs only enough hate to activate.

And you cant even read English and you are analysing me? What an idiot you are. You certainly been warped by the extremist company you are keeping. Does Sharon even find your friends too extreme?

Why allow the PLO office to remain open?

I read a fascinating article this morning that could explain what W is up to with this.

This is not on-line but I will give you key quotes.

Strategic Decision To Give Up Baghdad

Carol Rosenberg

Knight Ritter Newspapers

"Iraqi field commanders were surprised April 8..by orders to withdraw (from Baghdad) and return to their bases north of the city...

The commanders withdrew as instructed. Once they reached their bases they were told to go home....

Major Salah Abdullah Mahdi al Jabouri, a 17 year army veteran, described the order as a personal tragedy...I stayed inside my bedroom for five days, in shock."

Maybe this was the "shock" part of the "shock and awe" strategy. ;-)

This looks like _we_ became the command and control over Baghdad military units, presumably first by intercepting their military commnications, then analyzing them and later destroying their command and control and "spoofing" them with our own.

So, back to the PLO. If they communicate we moniior. Then we analyze. Then, at the right time, we would have the opportunity to subvert their operations with false orders.

imho

:-)

Through your logic, I will propose to the US that it opens an Al Queda office /sarcasm

Israel is fighting terrorist groups who have been responsible for numerous deaths of Americans, as well as Israelis.

through your logic...allow an AQ embassy

We already have allowed it--but you may not have heard about it since many folks call it the Saudi embassy. ;-)

Jews need not apply? You are a strange sort Dave. Are Jews automaticly non-human, or just non-American?

You are a sick man Dave. And for your information, they were not all "dual" citizens. Strange, I never thought that having dual citizenship was a cause worthy of death.

Do you know what the meaning of dual means? Do you know what American means?

I thought not...

Who the hell said anything about Jews? I didnt. I hold in contempt anyone who holds dual citizenship. Until recently you had to renounce all allegiance to any other country to become a citizen but no more. An American to me is someone who lives here (except for short periods)and shares American values.

Do I wish death on Israelis? No, but Im not going to suffer agony over the death of someone 6000 miles away when most Americans dont suffer over the death of someone in their own city they dont know. What happens in Israel is Israels problem, not ours. If you want to avoid it, dont go there. Dont ask us to invade Syria for you. And dont sell our secrets to our enemies.
