I finally figured out how this will go down.

I have no doubt that Syria has WMD, advanced missiles, etc. However, for us to do anything about it at this time "wouldn't be prudent".

Enter the Israelis.

With Iraq gone, the Soviets gone, Iran too preoccupied at home - and with us in their way now - Israel has the green light to wipe out the Syrians militarily. This would simultaneously wipeout the Israelis largest threat and defang the Palestinians.

Afterwards, I'm sure the Palestinians would be more than open to talks on a revised homeland.

Iran seems occupied with Iraq the more I see. They are doing everything they can to keep Iraq from becoming what they (Iran) dread: free and liberated with seperation of "church" and state. The Iranians are so far doing a good job of stiring things up...well at least as the press shows them as being Iraqis opposed to us and anything we try and help them with. I saw the Imams and Mullahs say this evening that they don't want western democracy but government like they have in Iran.

Green light if our State Department stays the heck out of Israel's way and business...Colin Powell too.

The State Department has been anti-Israel / anti-Semetic from the day (or before) Israel became a nation. It's the State Department left-wing liberal-socialist-communists that put together this POS "roadmap" and this "whatever-it's-called" that Newt Gingrich was talking about with Russia, the EU and The Department of State. They would love nothing better than for Israelis to leave and give everything back to the Palestinians.

In my opinion, the U.S. Dept. of State is a rat's nest full of plague.
