Their "outreach" to illegal aliens in order to widen the tent is turning off more people than they realize. These same type policies is what's causing so many to flee the democratic party.

The GOP is without question the dumber of the two parties, at least on a strategic level...though the democrats will get theirs too at a later date.

I live in a town 50 miles outside of Chicago that very much fits the description of Middle Class America. Nice neighborhoods, good schools, little to no crime. But the situation out here has rapidly changed for the worse in just the last 2 years. These days our town and the surrounding areas are being inundated with illegal aliens. They started out by grouping up in the older sections of town and have spread out all over the place.

There is not a time I go shopping when some illegal with 3-4 kids in tow doesn't whip out food stamps at the counter and ties up that line for minutes on end. Of course they can't speak English so if there is any problem with their food stamps they can shut down a line for a half-hour as the store personnel try to work out the problem. Oh and you won’t see any sense of shame on the faces of these folks. LOL. It's like "we are here, and there is nothing you can do about it...so get used to it."

What's interesting though is that the Illegals I see every day usually have nice clothes, late model cars and certainly don't look like they need any kind of assistance. They obviously know how to game OUR system to the max.

If the GOP higher-ups believe that this growing contingent of illegal aliens are going to vote (presumably when they are citizens) for anything other than ever-greater socialism they are off their rocker. It's so blatantly obvious that most illegal aliens identify with socialism that it would be astonishing if the GOP elite didn’t know this as well. Really, what we have today is outright tyranny at the top levels of our government.

The illegals come here in droves knowing that they can get free handouts courtesy of the US taxpayer. Something has got to be done to control the influx of illegal immigration. The big tent nonsense is going to backfire and ruin this country at the same time.

We have the same problem in our area with that, but most of those using food stamps are legal immigrants from Europe... places like Bosnia mostly. I guess our government has too much money burning holes in its pockets they need to give away.

But what you're experiencing with illegals hasn't hit us too bad yet, though I don't need a crystal ball to know it's coming, and it angers the heck out of me nothing is being done to stop it. Our kids and grandkids are going to pay dearly for the government's incompetence in the future.
