I spent about two hours getting the site changed to the 35th Ave and 16th St. site and calling radio stations and the Greeley Tribune I went down to the Tribune and got a hold of the editor and told him that I did not like giving information on the rallies and being ignored by his reporters and would like to have it put in the paper that we had changed locations. He said he would and within the hour I was giving a interview on our FReeps and the web site I hope it is tommorows paper. I would hope this helps get more people out there. I picked this site due to the great Veterans Memorial that is just off to the left side of the intersection. It also is just up the street from where the peaceniks are holding their rally ,they will still be able to hear the support honks that we would get. I thought this would be the best for us to Honor our troops and still be able to upset the peace niks.

Yes, I have not heard if anyone is doing the overpass rally. It was 1 mile north of the Windsor exit. The one in Loveland is 5 miles West of I-25 and 34.

I will try to find some information on the overpass rally.

Trteamer, have you heard anything?

This article from the Washington Times just irks me no end!! ("Oh, WE support the troops just as much as YOU do". Yeah, right!!) The article says this happened at Fort Myer near D.C.

The Pentagon is warning all military personnel whose privately owned vehicles are identified with Department of Defense (DoD) decals to "make all attempts to avoid any anti-war protest."

The unusual written advisory, obtained yesterday by Inside the Beltway, was issued by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command at Fort Myer, adjacent to the Pentagon, after an unidentified member of one military family was assaulted by antiwar demonstrators.

"[A] DoD family member while driving her vehicle and stuck in traffic was identified as having a DoD sticker," the advisory states. "At the time there was an anti-war protest under way. When her vehicle was observed by the demonstrators, a member of the group yelled out 'war bitch' and her vehicle was immediately surrounded.

"While some of the members pounded on her vehicle with their fists, others 'keyed' it and wrote the word 'peace' on the paint finish. It is recommended DoD personnel should avoid these protests at all cost."

The advisory concludes: "Even though the protesters proclaim on national TV that they support the military members involved in the war in Iraq, there are numerous members of the various anti-war groups who do not share this view and will assault DoD members once they are identified."

The article in the Tribune was not what I wanted to see but I will take it My wife called at noon and the phone has been ringing off the hook with people calling for information on the rally and some have said they will be there. The paper put in the headline "PRO WAR GROUP "to have rally in Greeley. I told the reporter we were not Pro War but Pro Troop Supporters. The rest of the article is fairly good so I hope it works.

Pro-war group to rally in Greeley on Saturday

Story by Tamera Manzanares

Pro-war demonstrators who have gathered at the corner of 35th Avenue and U.S. 34 Bypass since March will move their rally to Bittersweet Park on Saturday.

People with American flags and signs of support for the troops in Iraq may join the rally from 11 a.m.-noon at the corner of 16th Street and 35th Avenue near the park.

Organizer Dale Parrish said police asked the group to move because visitors at the nearby Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery complained about noise and horn-honking.

Parrish has a permit to have the rally near Bittersweet Park every Saturday through May, but he said the pro-war demonstrations will continue until the troops come home.

“We don’t want people to forget there are people sacrificing their lives for this country,” he said.

Organizers rallied at the original location to counter anti-war demonstrators on the other side of the street. Both groups had to move their rallies, but the pro-war demonstrators chose to relocate farther away from the anti-war group’s new location at 10th Street and 35th Avenue.

“A lot of us feel we don’t need to waste our time and energy trying to convince them they are wrong,” Parrish said about those protesting the war.

Since March, 10-15 people have participated in rallies each week, but last week only five demonstrators showed up. Parrish said similar rallies in Fort Collins and Longmont the past two weekends have attracted up to 80 people.

Pictures from pro-war rallies in Greeley and throughout the country are posted at freerepublic.com and forwarded to soldiers in Iraq.

“It helps build the morale of troops,” Parrish said. “They see enough bad things about anti-war protests.”

It's time to FReep the Greeley Tribune for calling us the "Pro War" group. We always have made it a point with the press that we are a Support Our Troops group and the leftist press always lies.

I will be e-mailing them.

As for freeping:

How I love daylight savings time. Now I can FReep and get "honey-do's" done afterward!! LOL!!

I have not heard anything about a Wellington rally, but I would encourage anyone living near there to go ahead and have at it. Beware, your jaw will hurt from grinning!

See you all tommorrow!

Well buddy, Thank You for getting it in the paper. Her is what I just e-mailed to the Greeley Tribune:

After reading your article about the "Pro War " group having a rally at Bittersweet Park on Saturday I am disgusted with your LEFTIST slant at reporting. I am one of the people that have attended the Support Our Troops Rallies in Greeley and am very upset by the fact that your newspaper has decided to call it a Pro War Rally. I know the organizer Dale and he made it very clear to your reporter that we are there to Support Our Troops. It is the leftist press that takes it and turns it around. Does the Tribune have a leftist agenda? It sure appears that way to me.

I wonder if they have the guts to print it. We will see.
All the Best!

Well, we had a pretty good time. The weather was great and the lefties were few.

One of the lefties needed a kilt. His choice got a lot of us and drivers very angry.

Like I said, we were many, they were few. No bongos today...

This will haunt him. Here, there's a police officer giving "Kiltboy" a little talking to...

Sorry I couldnt go to any others. THe Wife and I had to get out and look at houses today. I hope to see ya all next weekend!

I miss ya, Fivetoes!

Well I got an e-mail reply from the Greeley Tribune after I accused them of being LEFTIST. Here it is:

Thank you for writing. We sometimes get in trouble when applying labels to various groups. Generally, we have referred to all such demonstrations as pro-troop rallies. The anti-war protesters complain about terminology as well. They regularly assert they are pro-troop, too. Of course, that's an assertion of considerable debate. Our primary goals are to be fair, accurate and easily understood by the general reader. A label of pro-war probably isn't fair. Who wants a war, other than a madman? We'll share you letter with the intern reporter who wrote the story and with the rest of our staff. We appreciate you writing to let us know what you think of your hometown newspaper. We know that we will improve as a newspaper by listening to our readers. Sincerely, Chris Cobler Editor Greeley Tribune

I wonder if they will publish my original letter?? Somehow I doubt it.

Great pictures!! I wish I could have heard what the policeman had to say to kilt boy. There is one flag that should be burned ASAP.

LONGMONT REPORT:

Today I got tied up with Honey-Do's and was too late to make it to the Fort Collins Rally so I opted to go down to Longmont since I could yell at the leftists for all of you.I am proud to report that I got full use of the First Amendment today and left the leftists with their ears smoking!! Oh how they piss me off with their signs, Oh how they wish this was the 60's all over again. Well it is not the 60's (Thank God) and they heard plenty from me.

Freepers in attendance were: mollynme; CardCarryingMemberVastRightWC and daughter; and their parents (3 generations of Freepers in this family); along with beaversmom and sons; (If I missed anyone, Sorry and Thanks for FReeping!). About 40 or so patriots took full control of the intersection the leftists are used to having and they were forced to have their putrid demonstration half way down the block. There were about 75 or so useful idiots and it apperared to me that they had to get reinforcements from Boulder from the look of them. The hard core Leftists have replaced the blind sheep that we are used to seeing at our little party. They are for the most part old 60's hippies with a few college students mixed in to keep hope alive. I had the grand opportunity to let em have it verbally for a full hour and I did along with the help of the now infamous Frank the Marine.

As I drove up to start FReeping I yelled from my car to the Leftists "Al Gore Lost! You Pukes!". That felt great. When I started FReeping I went right at them and kept it up. "Good Afternoon Communists, Marxists, Socialists, and Leftists. All you are over there because of your hatred of George Bush! Your not fooling anyone!" I yelled. "You all have the right to free speech and so do I! Thank God for George Bush! Al Gore Lost so stop your whining!". I think the people outside on the patio eating at The Pump House were a little shocked, but I did hear some snickering coming from that direction. I then went on to pick on their little poles with plastic white doves of peace. "What's that on the end of your pole? It looks like a white grouse to me. That's my favorite gamebird, I love to eat grouse!".

When I spied this college girl with two signs slamming Big Corporations and the oil company Halliburton I let her have it. "Hey you!! I have friends that work for Halliburton and they are a damned fine environmentally conscience company!! They are going to do an excellent job of drilling A.N.W.R.!! God Bless Capitalism!!". And so it went at Longmont today. When 3:00 rolled around the peace-niks all gathered in their little circle as usual to pledge resistance to our country and then they all left with their tails between their legs and their heads down. We stayed until they were all gone and then had the intersection completely to supporting our troops. The citizens of Longmont were very generous with their honking and the Longmont Police Dept. had officers standing with us in case anything got out of hand. They didn't say a word to me about my expressing my First Amendment rights and I have the gut feeling they enjoyed seeing the peace-niks ears smoking.

I'll send my pictures off to fivetoes and maybe he will be nice enough to post them for me...

FReep ON!!

So, THAT'S where y'all were! We missed ya in Ft. Collins. I (we) utilized full-force bullhorn power today. That slob wearing the American flag as a kilt and rubbing it on various parts of his body was a real eye-opener to the people driving by.

I had to show the bum what an American flag was meant for; We said the pledge nice and loud. He got pretty riled up. One fella kept coming up with little comments for him. Like, "Hey, Fatso! Why don'cha go and get yerself another coupla burgers!" And, "Hey, Fatboy! How'd ya get that flag all the way around yer big ass?"

It was a scream!
