Hiring Savage and former Cong Joe Scarborough is a big plus for me. They are starting on the right track with those two hires!

As loathe as I am to agree with any lefties, OR with anyone from the University of Spoiled Children, Savage is IMHO a poor representative of the Conservative viewpoint.
While we are on the subject: Hey KRLA- bring Hewitt back at 1700 hours!

The message becomes: "Radicals on the news are actually OK, as long as it's our radicals on the news, and as long as it makes us money." I agree that Savage is biased, and right-wing. The only problem here is that idiots in the media declare Savage to be "unclean" because he's biased, and fail to see that Katie Couric is also biased. In their opinion, she's mainstream and objective. So, it's only the right-wing that actually has an "extremist" presence in the media. The left is nowhere to be found. (Hah!)

I was disgusted and offended by the locker room humor of Keith Olbermann in his hit piece on Geraldo Rivero, last night. If that is what passes for news at MSNBC, they are in serious trouble. I hope Geraldo sues the pants off of Olbermann.

Indeed, the major motivation for broadcasters is money, and money comes from satisfying the wants of the majority of faithful viewers. It is no random surprise that more and more conservative people are finding their own shows, because the majority of Americans are leaning this way, and they are the same conservative Americans who work hard and thus have the money to spend on the products that produce ad revenue.
Liberals try like hell to avoid the stark truth that they are a fringe minority, as much as they would like to believe that they represent "the people", but they don't by and large. When faced with that awful fact, they usually respond with something like "how can Americans be so stupid?". Someone should buy these liberals a mirror.

Heh. Racist? Anti-Jewish? Someone should let the author of this tripe know that Micheal Savage is just a radio handle, and that his REAL name is Micheal Weiner. That's right, Micheal Savage is a JEW! Mike Savage doesn't hate anybody (well, except for the leftists), he just wants to defend the American way. While he grates on my nerves most of the time, I agree with his goals: Preserve America by stopping our slide into the socialist abyss and preventing the immigrants from destroying what we've built. If you come to America, you should become an American!
Somehow, I doubt they'll post a correction.

I tried watching Savage's show one day. It was only palatable for about 3 minutes. I'll be surprised if it lasts. (Give me Shaun Hannity or Rush Limbaugh any day.)

You shouldn't be surprised, it's the media, it's all about ratings...it's entertainment first, then news. This is 2003, it ain't gonna get better. More media content (tv, radio, video, internet, etc) = less verifiable truth.

I almost couldn't believe my ears. Tom Brokaw took a good shot at Katie as she was sitting next to him on national television. It was a truly rare moment to be relished.
On NBC Tom Brokaw and Katie Couric were side-by-each at the desk reporting on the freedom of Iraq this morning. Tom informed the viewers and Katie that he had to "go to a studio across the street".
Katie responded, "was it something I said?"
Tom replies, "where do I begin."
Katie: "ouch"

Perhaps the moron that wrote this article doesn't realize he and his ilk no longer, nor did they ever really, represent mainstream America and its' views.
This chump needs to get used to the fact that the days of liberal control of the American news media are coming to an end. Just ask CNN, the al-Jazeera of the West...

but the more I see of our television coverage of the war, the less faith I have in commercial broadcasting. Da Komrade. Government broadcast fair, it never lie. It tells the proletariat all they need to know.
