The woman doesn't stop to realize that WE ARE the reason she can point her finger.

It's called "Stockholm Syndrome". People who are held under duress may end up "loving" her abuser. The world press reminds me of a massive group of people with Stockholm. They love the very people who are clearly causing the fighting and abusing the world press (forcing them to remain muzzled and unable to report much of the story). Yet, when faced with their moment of freedom, they point their finger at the individuals granting their freedom and they protest.
