The rally featured over 1,000 people at the park near the Verazzano Bridge and also near Fort Hamilton, Headquarters of the US Army corps of Engineers and still housing several units of the national guard.
The rally was organized by Congressman Vito Fossela(R). Also there were the state assemblyman Mathew Mirones, State Senator Marty Golden and City Councilman James Oddo. Also there where Dim's Vincent Gentile the new councilman of the area who will be replaced in November by a Republican (if I have anything to do with it) and State assemblyman Joseph Abate the Dim from Bensonhurst.
Well over 1,000 people attended. I estimate around 1,500. Not bad for Brooklyn considering the fact it was not that well publicized except on WABC radio.
Clemenza and I did our duty and provided the FreeRepublic precense. Nitro was supposed to be at the rally as well as several others who may have appeared without announcing themselves.

Hi Cacique -
Great to read your post and see these photos --
We would have been at the rally - but we were at Mineola and then headed out to our gig...
yes we (married couple!) are full-time musicians here in NYC -- as a new Freeper I am learning the system etc...how to post-put photos etc... slow and sure.. I have some great photos from the Times Square rally.. just don't know how to post them....
God Bless you and all your efforts... God BLess America!

Thank You for the great report and awesome pictures. After your rally, Curtis greeted us in Bethpage. I was fortunate to meet him and he autographed my sign. Bethpage rally was wonderful, lots of cheering patriots there.

Excellent. Glad you got to catch up with Curtis again. He and his team are going all out to be there for the people. In turn, the people are there for the troops. It's a win-win situation.

You should organize a pro troops rally in London. We'd like to see the pictures. Let's see our UK FReepers on the streets.

Fantastic pics. Thanks for sharing them. Looks like everyone had a good time. I wish I could've gone, but unfortunately I had a prior commitment. Next time, for sure.

Thanks Cacique! You are a tireless activist for the causes of Liberty and Patriotism. Unlike the post office (at least in Brooklyn), you truly carry on through sleet, snow rain hail and Democrats!

Not to complain, but how could you go to "Cannonball Park"...
and not get a shot of the cannon?
I know the 'official' name is John Paul Jones Park, but here in "The Ridge" it is Cannonball Park.

Nitro was supposed to be at the rally Nitro wanted to be there, but Nitro got offered a double shift at the Garden and since Nitro likes to pay his rent he took it.
