You need to crack a large bottle of hard spirits right now. Don't bother with a glass or ice. Just chug it right from the bottle until you're leaning back.
You'll feel better in the morning.

Ohhh, we're going to get some flack over all the civilians killed and wounded, especially since we promised not to bomb them.

When I was a very little girl, my grandfather said "Watch". He then shoved some crumpled newspapers into a whole in the ground and pointed.
A couple minutes later, I saw the rabbits hippity hop out the hole 50 feet away.
Somehow, I think we're "over there" someplace scraping up the pieces while everyone is looking at the hole in the ground.

Fox - Carl Cameron reports that Baghdad was planning to have a subway system years ago, but it was never finished, and Saddam was using this to move around. He's used them in the past 3 weeks to avoid decapitation strikes.

add 9 hours to CDT

Wouldn't it be a hoot if the houses Lara Lawson was whining about turn out to be the ones where Saddam was? Why I do believe I noted that potential irony oh about 90 minutes ago! Not that irony is relevant, it is just irony. Now the media claim, well, that'll be some fun to play with. Killing innocents indeed. On reflection, the claim, and the magnitude of damage, in contrast with what has gone on befofe, should have been a clear signal, and we missed it.

If you're so good at codes and encryption, can you please tell me why my password always looks like this "******", no matter what I change it to? Ah, that West Texas humor. . . . .

Okay, so that's 9 hours from central time. Thanks!

That would be ~3 AM Baghdad time, right? The explosions on Abu Dahbi TV at ~ 8:20PM Baghdad time were really, really big...someone on FN called it a "JDAM" ...Abu Dhabi saying Iraqis were hitting US. I'm so confused.
If CENTCOM says it happened at 2PM Baghdad time, it's o.k. by me. (^:

Robert "Mullah" Fisk argues in his latest column that....
Amid the crack of gunfire and the tracer streaking across the river, and the huge oil fires that the Iraqis lit to give them cover to retreat, one had to look away to the great river bridges further north, into the pale green waters of that most ancient of rivers to realise that a Western army on a moral crusade had broken through to the heart of an Arab city for the first time since General Allenby marched into Jerusalem in 1918. But Allenby walked into Jerusalem on foot, in reverence for Christ's birthplace and yesterday's American thrust into Baghdad had neither humility nor honour about it.
Funny... I thought Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Must be my faulty education.

We are going to see the "dancing in the streets" this very day.

Nine hours ahead in Baghdad (?).

The general on Fox said that this WAS NOT a residential area. It was commercial.
