As Bill Bennett says: The world needs a pliceman from time to time.
As P. J. O'Rourke said: "Liberals like to say that America isn't the world's policeman, but when Iraq invaded Kuwait, no one called Sweden."

"The most fundamental freedom is the freedom of reproductive self-determination."

Heheh . . . as if one can "will" oneself pregnant. No way this is a "self" proposition. Ninnies.

I know that nobody ever does anything for nothing any more. But wouldn't/shouldn't security, freedom and their own national interests in the UK be enough of a reason for them to support the US?

Prolly not I guess. Everybody always wants to get paid.

Remember one day...a few days ago...there was a report about our coalition spotting Iraqis delivering "drums" somewhere and they were dressed in full chemical suits? I think these are THOSE drums.

Another note: It appears Dubya arrived before Blair...I didn't see Blair there to greet him. If so, THAT is a very, very big complement to the PM.

Last night was definitely the most memorable in all my time on F.R., lurking or participating.

Excellent article on NRO by James Robbins on last night's historic TV coverage...haven't checked yet to see if there is an FR link yet, be sure to catch it.

"You mean this book ... hmmm she was supposed to have finished it"

Maybe she had to go back to square one when she realized it was actually supposed to contain some accuracy.

Who the h*ll does this Sky Guy at Washington think he is???

He's doing voiceover while Prez is arriving at Belfast. Saying: this American President doesn't want to go down in history as the one who destroyed all the international institutions...He's going to have to acknowledge the importance of these institutions

...BLECH!!!!!! How the h*ll would he know?

We want to see UN dismantled...TWIT!

Bush in Belfast.

Whe he entered his helicopter, he forgot to salute the two Marine guards. He came back out and saluted them.
