PRESIDENT BUSH, PLEASE TAKE CARE OF ENEMIES/PROBLEMS HERE
Vanity | 06 April 2003

Posted on 04/06/2003 6:41:36 AM PDT by MeneMeneTekelUpharsin

I apologize for this, but I can't take it anymore. I am usually not inflammatory but enough is enough. If this war ends well and Bush has the resultant popularity he needs to effect policy, the request is: Please President Bush, take care of enemies here at home! Iraq, North Korea, etc. are NOT are biggest foes. They're really not. The worst enemies we have are illegal immigration, liberal Democrat leadership that would take us to totalitarianism much like the regime we've been disassembling, Sen. Kerry, those who won't punish murderers who kill with guns but want to take away those of law-abiding citizens, Jesse Jackson, celebrities like the Dixie Chick's Natalie Maines, Madonna and radical Muslims and those who support them along with others like them, etc., etc.

Please have the backbone to order death row inmates executed quickly. Please have the backbone to stand up for what is right and set a precedent that if people want to live in an evil fashion, they can get a free ticket to go and make a new society in Iraq. Please. If something is not done about the wicked people who have caused so many of us so many problems for so many years (that's me personally) then we are quickly going to have dramatic problems here and end up disintegrating into civil war.

Please tell the Canadians who hate us they can't sell anything here anymore and they can't come into the country. Please tell Mexico that have one more chance to stop the drug trafficking and illegal immigration or they're next. Please, finally do something right. Please. Please set Federal standards for public education and fire administrators and teachers if they don't follow those standards. Make it easier for people to home school and start private schools as long as a basic curriculum is taught. Please do something. Please.

Only the tip of the iceberg, but I don't have time. I've got to take my family and go to church. God help us.

Don't forget home-grown terrorism, a.k.a. ELF, ALF and PETA.

Here's a few more to ponder:

1) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know; Hitler, Mussolini and the rest of them good old boys'. We will never "interfere" again.
2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No more sneaking through holes in the fence.
3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them.
4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself, don't hide here. Asylum would not ever be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers.
5) No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.
6) The US will make a strong effort to become self sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.
7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else.
8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere". They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides' most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if any anyway.
9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, it would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.
10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer.

Now, ain't that a winner of a plan!

Illegal immigration is a much greater problem than terrorism. Our borders are porous and illegals (and terrorists) can come and go as they please. Illegal mexicans are responsible for the majority of the drug traffic coming in to the US.

Why do we let these folks in to take jobs when hundreds of thousands of Americans are getting pink slips?

Don't see #10 happening.

Everything else reads like a little like a dream come true...at least to an extent.

Illegal immigration is a much greater problem than terrorism.

Right you are. I'd just make one small adjustment...
Criminal immigration is a much greater problem than terrorism.

LOTS of bad things happened while we slept through 8 years of Clinton. Please let's not let it happen again! Steadfast in our attention to the evil around us and vigilance to the people in our government with intent to bring us down.

Ill tell anyone who will listen to the day I die. Everything Hillary sees...someone else sees it too. Call me a tinfoil hatter, but everytime Bill or Hillary gets mentioned in the news, a retired KGB recruiter smiles to himself....

I could not agree with you more. We are in the middle of propaganda World War. As a part of this World War, occasional military battles break out like the one in Iraq. But the main thrusts are propaganda. America is hated just about everywhere by people, who have no information other than that provided by the organized propaganda ministries of our enemies. Within our own country the Anti American hatred is startling. Even educated Americans can be whipped into a frenzy when bombarded with a well coordinated propaganda attack from the news entertainment media.

If you want to see a blatant example of this propaganda, look at some of the politically correct issues that Americans are bombarded with. One of the issues is forefront in almost all nightly news, entertainment and "soap" shows. I purposely will not take sides on this issue. My purpose is use it as an illustration of the well coordinated propaganda attack from our media. In my daily life, I am rarely confronted with the issues presented by gay rights groups. However, when I look at the traditional network news and entertainment programs, there is not one night that I am not confronted with this issue. Often on all the shows at night, the gay issue is openly addressed and presented as if it were part of mainstream America. The propaganda attack also applies to racial and cultural issues. The most clear cut acknowledgment of this can be seen with Jerry Rivers. At the beginning of "age of political correctness," this astute fellow changed his name to Geraldo Rivera.

We elect our political leaders. But our news media propaganda managers are appointed by a small group. From the example of Dan Rather, Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw, they never change. They have been bombarding America with their personal brand of politics for thirty years. Katie Couric has had complete access to American homes for a generation. Their propaganda issues are programming a very large percentage of America. They don’t even hide the fact that all their nightly issues and reports are almost identical. This in itself is startling considering the large number of stories and issues available for discussion. So, it is not surprising that the world hates us. Our news media has programmed us to hate ourselves.

There is an answer to this. Break the consolidated oligarchy of the network media. Outlaw network news programs. Break the strangle hold on local newspapers by an oligopoly of national or international syndicates. Outlaw consolidated movie outlets. Require the local media to be independent - not owned or affiliated with the networks or syndicates. Like local radio stations, we would have local issues and local culture reasserting themselves. The political correct propaganda artists would have a much more difficult time trying to chain Hymen and Bubba to the same post.

The answer is to hold the federal government to the limits defined in the constitution. Most of the rest of the problems goes away.

Wouldn't protecting the borders be required by the constitution? Wouldn't elimination of PBS, the NEA, the cow fart study, most of welfare, and just about every other extortion scheme be required by the constitution?

Alas, how do we get there? We are stuck voting for folks just barely on our side of the middle. That is, I think, what needs to change. Good men and women of the right need to stand up and be counted, and also to prevent and block by all means necessary (within the law) the other side.

Fortunately, I think the tide is turning. Folks like Rush and FOX introduce the middle to the correctness of the right, and folks like Mr Robinson and the FReepers allow the right a place to congregate and synergize.

Thank you Rush; thank you Jim; thank you FReepers. Keep up the good work, and may we all win in the end.

Having said that, I also think unavoidable is the explosion and resolution of the racism issue. There are those that would rather have the country destroyed then get on with their lives and take advantage of all that this country offers.

I have no idea how this will turn out, but I fear the short term. However, I have little fear for the long term. Let me explain why.

A few weeks back I was talking with two other people. One, like me, is in his mid-thirties. The other is in his late seventies. For some reason he was talking about Jews, and his general hatred for them. You know, they want to rule the world; they are the cause of all the evil in the world; that type of thing.

It occurred to me that I had no such feelings for Jews, and in fact, it never comes to me that being a Jew is something to concern myself with. Only the way an individual acts should be considered in my judgment.

However, the words he was using in hatred sounded a lot like the words I hear my peers (and regrettably, sometimes myself) use against blacks. And that both scared me and gave me reason to hope.

If in one generation we can, as a society, correct our feelings towards Jews, maybe in the next we can correct our feelings towards blacks. I spoke with my like-aged friend and he was of the same mind - we don't feel that way about Jews any more, maybe we can do the same for the prejudice about blacks.

Until that happens, I worry about the influence that the Jacksons and Sharptons have. Hopefully one day they can appear to be the dinosaurs that my aged-friend is today.
