There is nothing to justify persecuting, peaceful, innocent people for their faith.
You can't do it and wrap yourself in Christianity and you can't do it and wrap yourself in the Constitution.
Fact is, you can't justify it, period.
But there is also nothing in the Constitution that suggests that we embrace false religions and elevate them to the same level as the faith upon which this country was built. No, we shouldn't persecute the people if they are adhering to the law. They should be treated the same as everyone else. On the other hand, there was once a time we might have been able to claim ignorance of their evil doctrines, but that is starting to change. A child might try in his ignorance to embrace a viper, not knowing the potential peril, but only a fool would try to embrace a viper knowing it had both the ability and the nature to destroy him.
