Saddam refers to farmer who shot down helicopter A story which originated in Iraqi propaganda in the first place. The propaganda could have easily been framed to fit the tape.

Here's another point to make concerning the fraudulent nature of this broadcast. Remember that whole farce concerning the supposed capture of two pilots from the river in Baghdad? THAT was probably ALSO a charade the Iraqis were trying to force-fit into a scenario that Saddam pre-taped as a story of heroic citizens capturing bandit pilots shot down over Baghdad.

One problem though - no plane was shot down over Baghdad - a fact which probably frustrated the hell out of Iraqi propagandists - who along with Saddam - thought at least one downed aircraft over Baghdad would be a no-brainer. And maybe THAT'S why that head of Air Defense was fired.

Saddam is still dead - now back to regular BS Iraqi programming.
