"The Russian Navy is headed for the Arabian Sea for "exercises."'

I would not worry too much about the Russian Navy. I think they had to mothball theit ONY aircraft carrier (If you could call it that) because they could not afford to operate it.

I was thinking about the Today show myself after their love affair with Peter Arnett! Would love to show her and Lauer a first hand look at the battlefield!

I thought people would think I was nuts about the Russians but finally got so irritated about praise of Putin and the Russians I spoke up and found out I wasn't the only Freeper that had huge doubts about them!

You'd think they would be reporting it, if true.

ABCNNBCBS have a difficult decision to make. On the one hand, reporting this wholesale slaughter could paint our troops as merciless killers... but on the other hand, the wholesale slaughter totally destroys the lie that the war is going badly for the coalition. So when they weigh these two, they choose not to risk revealing that the Iraqis are getting their @sses kicked, and they don't report on the slaughter. They'd rather wait for more civilian casualties to publicize.

anyone who is not watching oreilly right now, MUST catch the replay at 11PM.

Ah, there's the rub!!

I'm a west-coaster, and I don't get home from work until 7:00pm. I rely on the repeats of my favorite shows (O'Reilly at 8:00pm (PST), Brit Hume at 9:00pm, Hannity at 11:00pm). However, with the 24/7 war coverage, they are not repeating the prime time shows, so I haven't seen the regular shows since the war began.

I love the Godfather movies and you are right IMO about President Bush and his true feeling about Putin and the Russians.

You don't know how many times I have been told that the KGB man Putin has changed and his our friend. Yeah right! He just consolidated all the old parts of the KGB under his control!

I saw this also, what a great and awesome story.

I had lunch out today, there were also 6 military people there, I went to each table and personally thanked them for the job they are doing and let them know how proud I/we are of them. You should have seen the smiles, well worth the time. Next time I may pick up their tab, even though these folks are not on the line, they are holding up the homefront. Proud of the US Military, oh my, God Bless Them ALL, and the admistration that leads them.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about them either. They've already got a couple of SSNs and SSBNs following out of the chute at Otkhosk, unbeknownst to them.

The Washington Post lists Iraqi military casualties in the "hundreds." This is ridiculous. We are intentionally downplaying the numbers to avoid arousing the so-called Arab street. I would not be surprised to learn that 10s of thousands have already died and thousands more wounded. I have used the analogy of a championship NFL team against a not so good high school JV team. This is as one-sided as it gets. Unless the Republican Guard surrenders or melts away, they will be annihiliated. I would prefer the latter so the new Iraq can arise unfettered.

I remember hearing that every single soviet SSBN has a LA Class trailing it. Always.

That's right. About 250 hundred so far.

I agree with all the comments re Colonel Hunt, General McInerny (sp?), and the Major. Great commentary from all three on O'Reilly.

O'reilly must have taped this show earlier, because Jessica Lynch's brother told O'reilly that he hadn't spoken with her yet. The previous hour, Fox did a live interview with her brother after he had spoken with Jessica.

Colonel Hunt's report on Republican Guard suicide attacks was amazing. I'm thinking the RG would prefer an American bullet over facing the revenge of Iraqi citizens.
