Did anyone else just hear David Hackworth go ballistic on the Hugh Hewitt Show? He called Rummy an idiot, and said Hugh was "goose stepping" by not listening to the esteemed Colonel and following the Pantagon line. He's lost it!!!!

That's it for Hack. He's been out of line for quite some time.
Hugh has two kills this week. Erwin on Monday night and Hack today.
Good shooting, Hugh.

Hugh has had quite a week. First Chemerinsky, now Hackworth. Most doggies hate Rumsfeld.

I've never heard anyone challange Hack the way Hugh just did. He reacted exactly the same way the far left prof did on the Dennis Praeger and Michael Medved shows-"poot and scoot"!

Richard Perle's been demoted on the Defense Policy Board. I have a feeling some high-ranking people in the administration may also be unhappy about how the war has been going.

How Ritteresque!

Hackworth has had a beef with Rumsfeld for quite some time I hear. I think it goes back a number of years. Maybe he denied him a promotion or a medal or something back in the 1970s. Who knows.

except Erwin I've NEVER liked - that guy is one of the most effeminate (sp) wacko-libs there is. Hack used to be interesting until he took such an anti-Rumsfeld line to the point it consumed him entirely & this past week he's gone over the edge, either because he is so passionate against the Iraqi mission or because of his hatred for Rummy and folks running the Pentagon and trying to transform our forces to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Next thing we'll probably find out why, like Scott Ritter or that gay author who wrote the book on Hillary whose name I forget.

He's getting to be like Sheryl Crowe, turn on the TV, they're there, change the channel, same thing, turn on the radio and once again they're there.

I didn't hear Hackworth utter a disparaging word about that buffoon Powell.

Hack has been on some strong meds lately.
Is his book not selling? Fox quit paying him? - - What!?

Why? Because it wasn't over in a week?
Don't confuse the media with the administration.

Basically, Hack said "we're in big trouble", and "that idiot Rumsfeld" thought "Humpy Dumpty" was going to just fall down with a slight push, with the war lasting one week. He was bringing up the ghosts of Vietnam. Hewitt challenged him and The Good Colonel got po'd, said that Hewitt was "goose stepping" and not listening to the truth. Hack just wanted to bug out. It was classic!

I've never heard anyone challange Hack the way Hugh just did. . . For every person on Hacks side of the street, it's a challenge to hear/see/read/speak anything of value.
Cheese.

Hackworth is, for me, barely above Scott Ritter on the credibility scale. His act has worn off on me long ago.

I have a friend who knows a lot of details about what happenned in the Somalia and he said Hackworth's account of it in his book was extremely flawed and basic facts were wrong.
