I guess it would make sense if all the Iraqi Baath Command is gone, right?

LOL! In military terms, we call that an "operational pause".

Has Saddam decided to die, stay dead, and/or surrender?

Don't know why the Admin Mods locked the other thread...it had more info in the body of the post that is discredited on another FR thread...the original report states:

A diplomatic source told Alittihad that the US government delegation included four leading members of Congress as well as Elizabeth Cheney, the daughter of the US Vice President Dick Cheney, representing the US Department of State, where she works as an Assistant to the Deputy of the Secretary of State for Middle Eastern Affairs.

That story is debunked on the following thread...

Vice President Richard B. Cheney's daughter is not going to be a human shield in Baghdad. "Neither daughter even has plans to travel to that region, let alone Iraq," a Cheney spokesman told United Press International.

Cheney's daughters not going to Baghdad

Why send a delegation when our terms are unconditional surrender?

Only two reasons I can think of......1)Saddam is dead, or 2) This article is pegging the BS meter.

Yes, the only way Iraqis would want a cease fire or surrender is if Hussein is dead or totally incapacitated.

I think we know how to do a surrender - did you ever see the films on Gulf War I surrender ..??

We had a ring of weaponry around that meeting that no one could mistake for anything except - don't make a false move unless you want to die!!
