I can hear the artillery fire right outside my window at Ft Hood, it's something I've heard at every base I've lived on for the last 10 years and am completely immune to anymore. For the last 6 or so days, everytime I hear it I turn and look at the tv to see where we're bombing.

They have been training with heavy artillary at Pendelton for the last 6 months. I live on a hill less than a mile from the base and my windows rattle almost every night.

Doesn't bother me one bit, sure wouldn't want to have them ship out with halfass training!
