I have a question- I would like to know if the US/satellite systems can detect where the missles in Iraqi are being launched from? It seems to me that when those missiles are launched toward Kuwait (every two hours or so), Kuwait's radar detects that a missile is incoming. I would think that our satellite system would be focused in the area to detect(see)in Iraq where their missiles are being launched from. The US really needs to take out those launch sites.. We had trouble in the GW with the mobile SCUD launchers. We can tell where it was launched from but by the time we get eyes on the coordinates they have already boogied and went into their hole. Lost of vast desert out there to hide in.
Even with our best hunter/killer teams (Delta, SAS) looking for the launchers we didn't have great success.

why then does it appear that we have stopped the scuds, especially in the western desert towards israel, completely so far in this one?

Ok- they are using mobil launchers. I'd just assumed that they were being launched from an stationary site.
Yes, they boogie to a new hole and it's a big desert. Still, I hope our guys run across them in one of their desert holes. I hope our guys give each one of those Rockies a sky ride on their own missiles.
