A good chunk of that audience is a group of people called seat fillers which are people who go and sit in vacated seats to make it appear the house is full. Maybe the seat fillers were the booers. :)

Heh.... maybe, but I saw more stunned silence among the recognizable and heard more booing than cheering. I was heartened, but I like to see the sunny side of things.

Unlikely. Seat fillers are usually wannabe actors. Why shoot themselves in the foot before they're out of the gate?

I don't think they had seat fillers this year.
If they support Hussein so strongly, I wonder why they are so afraid of terrorists?
It made me sick though, to see the hundreds of police basically killing time, when there are real terrorists and criminals on our streets. Why do these trumped up nobodies get all the security?
