No, but to have your opinion treated with any respect, validity, or credibility, some actual KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, and WISDOM is a plus. The records of these "stars" show that they have none of the above.

They probably know enough to comment on acting (maybe), boob jobs, coke-snorting, sex-for-work, divorce, boozing, and psychological therapy with some validity, but most certainly NOT anything of any national signifigance or import. In this, their opinions are as those of foolish teenagers.

Degrees mean something, and it's not just that you're educated in the subject of your major. I have (among others) a degree in Physics. However, 17 of the 40 courses I took have nothing to do with my Major--Philosophy, Theology, Economics, Sociology, English, History, Spanish, etc. Getting a college degree and majoring in something are only half of the picture. A college education is much broader than it appears, and, frankly, it's as different from a high school education as high school is from grade school. These Hollywood types have no idea on what they missed out on.

Personally I think college-level Macro- and Microeconomics courses should be mandatory for all Americans. We live in a Capitalist market economy. It only makes sense to me that people should be properly educated in what makes it tick.
