"You're so mellifluent"Oh my!
My bad!
How could I leave the list incomplete!
"You know, the HTML thingy, the goofy cat..."
...the thesaurus, the rhyming dictionary...
" Mellifluent " ? Using a thesaurus, now, are you ? That's not really the correct use of that word, dear. :-)
" Oh stop ! You're so mellifluent " , you write to Luis, in reply to one of his posts. For starters. " mellifluent is an adjictive and your use of it, was grammatically incorrect. Mellifluous, another adj., means sweetly or smoothly; hence, your sentence really reads : " Oh stop! You're so smoothly ( or sweetly ). A second deffinition is : flowing with honey. " You're so flowing with honey " ? Is that what you REALLY meant to say to Luis ?
I could just go on and on and on, but I've made the point and cogently and proved that you misused the word. I am seldon " WRONG "; unlike YOU, toothy. Now, apologise, accept the fact that YOU are the one who is wrong, and don't even attempt to wiggle out of this . You dug the whole and don't know when to stop digging.
