Just happened to "surf" to MSNBC and caught that. At first I thought those girls were protestors--and I was angry! But then I stayed long enough to find out they were supporting our troops and it really touched my heart.
My son just called this AM to say he and his troops are OK--bored but OK--and I told him "Bored is definitely OK with me!!!" But if anything happened to him---well, I've been praying very hard for him and all our troops when I told him that he said, "Thanks--it's working!"
But I have NO PATIENCE for those who are so naive as to think our troops are out to "kill". They are like those who were against doing anything before Hitler marched into Czechloslovakia--heads stuck up too far to see anything clearly!
Two weeks ago C-SPAN had their cameras running at Ft. Campbell as the 716th MP Battalion processed through their final day and onto a Continental 767 Charter. The cameraman/producer talked to everyone from the Bn. Cdr to Pvts. for about 1 1/2 hours of tape. There was a scene when they were talking to a Pvt who couldn't have been 20 years old who was from California. Beside him was the cutest little red head from Tennessee. They planned to get married when he got back. He was strong but didn't look at her. All she could do was look at him and hold back the tears. I didn't.
