He always needs money. The Army isn't paying him for these two years (paying for school, however) I'll send him right up. :) Thanks. I hope to be there to pin on his butter bars.

why couldn't we have israelis who know arabic for our translators?
goodness, we need to fundamentally understand who we are dealing with. i recently read a reporter's diary from incirlick airbase in turkey and he talked about local turks doing menial labor such as lawn work. Isn't it darn easy for them to get sleepers in that way. we need to change how we do business.

If this is how the jihadists conduct themselves, play the Deguello, and take no prisoners. Better a thousand jihadists die, than one U.S. or Allied soldier!

Sky is saying 2 B52's so far have taking off! Also they are saying the 101st is under some type of attack. A ssm just blew-up outside of the camp. They believe it was shot down...

And I gotta wonder if the security has been briefed to not Profile by race.

I don't believe we are being draw in either but it would be foolish not to consider these possibilities which the military probably has. I have had some of the concerns I read here on this thread too though. I think we need to be more cautious. I saw these guys on the news that they passed and got a bad feeling about them. Something about the eyes and the way they looked at our military.

A SSM blew-up outside the camp? What's that? Is this breaking news? Haven't heard anything else.

Curious our B-52s aren't flying out of Frankfurt, Germany (/sarcasm)

There are a lot of good 'ol American boys studying in the military right now to rectify that situation. Most of the military's linguists are out there in classified platforms, but more are being graduated into service regularly.

U.S. Airbourne take casualties after attack on base
Associated Press
KUWAIT CITY -- A U.S. military official says there appear to have been some casualties after the Kuwaiti camp housing some of the 101st Airborne Division was attacked with grenades and small arms fire.
The military official says the attack happened at Camp Pennsylvania, near Kuwait's border with Iraq.
The official didn't identify which unit of the 101st Airborne Division was at the camp.

Too much emphasis by the brass on Compassionate warmaking. The CO is responsible but the mood has been set from the top.
This will sharpen their focus but it's a damn shame that they had to have their focus sharpened.

I agree that we always need to be cautious. However, that is different from saying that things are going too well, so we must be falling into a trap. It just shows a lack of knowledge about the whole situation. That's all.
