To 30 oil wells were set fire to by the Iraqi forces in the south of Iraq, according to last estimates', declared the Minister for British Defense Geoff Hoon in a maintenance with the BBC (radio).
"La last estimate which I received before leaving the ministry for Defense this morning is that perhaps to 30 oil wells were deliberately burnt ", specified Mr. Hoon.
"Dans the current context, it is perhaps less worse than what us planes fears, because there are several hundreds of oil well in the southern part of Iraq ", has it commenté."Nous have certainly fears that systematic of the Iraqi authorities to destroy these wells, but that was not the case until now ", it added.

I'm certainly comforted to know that the situation is "less worse" than anticipated.
A few nights ago, I saw one of those good ole Texas oil fire fighter guys on tv. He said, well, a burning oil well is nothing but fire coming out of a hole in the ground. We'll just put them out, one by one. "Nothin' to it." That really is comforting.

I believed Saddam Insane was going to do this before the war even started. His insanity has and will cause many of the people of Iraq to suffer.

I don't see why we can't just drop a few bombs on the well and cause the pipe hole to shut up?
