CAMP NEW JERSEY, Kuwait - Army reservist Brandon Beyer got fired up before his first overseas deployment.
He would drive around his hometown of White Bear Lake, Minn., see the antiwar signs posted all over town, and his blood would boil.

"While we were marching through Georgia!". For some reason, I thought of this when I saw this picture. I know it was from the Civil War era, I heard it in "Gone With The Wind". But this picture, seriously, is truly inspiring! I'm so glad that 'our' side is getting out there for the troops!

Quoting from article:
With most military analysts predicting a relatively swift victory over Iraq by U.S. and allied forces, Beyer still has a nightmare scenario: "I'm afraid our reception when we get home will be like after Vietnam."
I wish I had some way to contact Beyer and his brethren directly. If I could, I'd let them know that they have no worries about how they'll be treated when they return home.
While the Leftists revere celebrities, we true Americans revere heroes. And the folks who defend our liberty are our nation's true heroes!
As far as I'm concerned, the only thing our returning troops need worry about is whether or not they can handle all the back-patting and free drinks & gourmet coffee they'll get when they come to MY neck of the woods!
Go get 'em, guys! And God Bless!

Maybe he'll pass on a message to these troops he interviewed. Hope so, I emailed him and sent some pix of several of the Support Our Troops rallies.

True story...my brother is a Marine Vietnam vet. Came home from vietnam to spitting and such. Couldn't understand the hatred. Was deployed to the Gulf War as an MP reservist. Came home in June after the war ended. The next month rode with me in my Vette in the July 4th parade in our town. People standing on the sidewalks ran up to him and shook his hand, thanked him, shouted thank you and waved the flag, even the announcer acknowledged his presence and said a word of thanks to him and the other troops in general. Brought tears to the old vets eyes and made me (his little sis) a little weepy too. He jokingly commented it sure was different than the return home from Vietnam. He looked great in his chocolate chip fatigues too. It was a great day.

If I ever saw someone dissing a vet I think my blood would boil.
Folks do not relize that the severly disabled would be left to die in other countries and we are so grateful that this country we can live a free life.

This is something our troops shouldn't even have to worry about, especially in the middle of battle!
I hope you anti-war, anti-Bush and anti-American liberal buffoons are happy with yourselves!
