I thought about that, too. Mine's going up as soon as the deadline ends and/or the fighting begins, whichever comes first.

Flags UP?
Mine hasn't come down in a long time, except when it's raining. :)
Thanks for the post!

". . . up for the duration."
So...you should be able to lower "Old Glory" by this Saturday - if you want to, right?

Mine has been up since 9/12/01.
But I was thinking last night I need a new one for the car. And my co-worker and I put ours up in the office.

On the porch, we hang it just about everyday. Also, service flags are in the windows and the red, white, and blue whirlygigs are going.

My flag went up June 11, 1999.
I bough my home June 10, 1999.

Got the flag up AND made a poster for the window that says "Support Our Troops!".
I figure sometimes you have to tell people what they are supposed to do.

I was thinking about doing that. Actually I put the flag out on holidays only. I like the idea of a big poster, maybe on the garage door...

We were flying our flag every day BEFORE 9-11. It has a light on it at night, too.

My flag has flown for 8 years, being replaced when necessary. Why take it down and put it away?
To: ErnBatavia
You took your flag down? Mine has been up since shortly after 9/11. It's over my garage door with the light on over it all night. I do need to replace it, though. It looks fine and is still solid and bright but the edges are starting to wear out. I'll think about taking it down when the axis of Evil has been eliminated or neutered and al Qaeda is a footnote in the history books.
