Well, don't forget the thread specifically said you can (could?) reenter once your original date passed without incident. I personally never voted at all until last week. :)

Thanks.
Well, Freepers 'kensei' and 'ptrey' did not make it (the latter's prediction time about one hour from now)....Let's see how the others do. FYI

MSCASEY and LurkedLongEnough,
looks like you two may well be the closest to the actually announced attack time, if it occurs later today.

Late evening March 19, 2003 or just after midnight on March 20, 2003.
MCD
That was picked on November 9, 2002. On a Saturday.
Since I usually fast from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday, I was in the middle of my fast when I felt as if I had prophetic insight. In January when I pressed for an actually time, logic stepped in and I attempted to pick a time. At which time I posted this:
Posted by MSCASEY to snippy_about_it On News/Activism 01/19/2003 10:25 PM PST #715 of 1,066 Thanks that helped! I will say at 3:33 p.m. Pacific Standard time!

Posted by MSCASEY to snippy_about_it On News/Activism 01/19/2003 10:27 PM PST #716 of 1,066 Sorry that was March 20, 2003 3:33 Standard Pacific Time!
All I can hope and pray is that what I felt or that came to me on November 9, 2002, when I picked this date, in the middle of my fast period, does not come to pass.
But on the other hand it is time.

Semi-Finalists, eh? Who's going to win Miss Congeniality?
To: AmericanInTokyo
When did LurkedLongEnough say that the time would be in March? Was this in January or just a couple of days ago? And was this the first guess? Just curious!

We did not scan for "3" such as a date of "3/19/03", but only for "March" predictions. Someone might want to add any others they notice that went in this format.I checked for those earlier and did not find any.

It seems that the official attack time was
Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at 9:30 P.M. EST according to President Bush.
Do you agree with this as the official time?
Who would you say is the winner of the Attack on Iraq Betting Pool?
I was assuming that the attack would begin with a massive bombardment of Baghdad. Perhaps there should also be a winner in the "shock and awe" category?

Thanks for the effort to conclude the exercise.
I concur with your thoughts on why this can be considered an important exercise.
For the first time in history we have the ability to communicate on an unprecented scale. The logical result is to try to process that information and reach a conclusion.
We don't know the many many thought processes. Some may have been guesses. Those listed above though were pretty well right. Hats off to them for their conclusions.

So is LurkedLongEnough the official winner?
Seems like the decapitation strike right after the deadline should be the start time, given that it knocked out Iraqi C&C and its impact on our subsequent war strategy.
