I heard this the other day on Dr. Laura. It is really scary how history repeats itself...

But as one famous French leftist said: "We did anyway manage to make them declare Paris an open city - no bombs on us!" Chirac's dad?

Click here to create two home-printable bumper stickers that say:
Only UN-Americans put the U.N. before the U.S.
Artwork and linkage by FReeper Howie. Stick them inside your cars rear window with a few bits of 3M Magic Tape, the tape will peel off easily with no glue residue even after months in the sun.

In 1928 a treaty was signed outlawing war. It was known as the
Kellogg-Briand Pact. So if war was outlawed (and there was a treaty and Germany was a signatory) then how could they make war on their neighbors? I mean a treaty is all the protection a nation needs right? A treaty means we don't have to have expensive military programs etc. The treaty alone will protect us.
History clearly shows how ridiculous it is to make, or at least rely on, treaties. While treaties and multilateral organizations make politicians popular, they have never protected a mile of sovereign land or protected a single human being. Just ask those who died in the UN "Safe Havens" in Bosnia. The only means of security is through the barrel of a gun as ugly as it sounds it will always be true.

"Only half his troops carried one reload of ammunition because Hitler knew that French morale was too low to confront any war just then and 10 million of 11 million British voters had signed a so-called peace ballot." What's the reverse of dejevu?
If this is Alstare Cook, I'm surprised. I never considered him a voice of reason.
These are strange days we are in...

Especially like the bit where Turkey holds out for more money, then realizes its mistake too late and loses part of it's country.
Of course, then was WWI and the Ottoman Empire was dismantled.
Now they're losing the Kurds.
Ironic, isn't it?
