You're a better person than I - I LOVE that she was finally served a tiny sliver of what she has been serving.
She is NOT a reporter, she is a columnist. She was a reporter until she quit UPI when it was bought by the folks who own the Washington Times. She quit in protest and was hired by Hearst as a columnist. Columnists are opinionated and do not belong in a room with reporters.
She could be!
I think Helen goes home every evening to her room at the Bates Motel where she sits in that chair all night attracting more and more cobwebs.
Leni
Did you see him having a coniption fit last night. There was a vein in his forehead as thick as my thumb that was visibly pulsating. I fully expected it to burst any minute.
On the other hand, Bill Frist was cool as a cucumber.
FWIW, I don't feel sorry for Helen Thomas at all. She made her bed. What does she expect annnouncing that GW is the worst president in the entire history of the USA -- a bouquet of roses? If she'd said something like that about Bill, Hillary would have unceremoniously destroyed her.
That's all that needs to be said.
She's totally lost it and she pukes bile and venom everytime she talks to the press or the President or Ari. She has gone completely psycotic, and the left knows it. Notice, that when a "fellow traveler" goes off the deep end the left abandons them, quickly and hard. Helen will be retiring very soon, mark my words. Hillary will give her an interview every year, but that will be it for Helen.
Helen has gone too far, and the left knows it. They will not fight for the old fossel because it wouldn't look good. She is being slowly let out to pasture.
I would be willing to bet that this was ordered by McAwful and the Clintons. Helen is no longer of use because Helen is distasteful to about 80% of Americans. She is not credible, and she is fast becoming a disgrace to the left. She'll be given a small pention and 50 cats to take care of, but the left doesn't want her out of her apartment writing prose.
To me, I could care less what happens to her. I'm a conservative, all she ever did for me was to push me to research her lies, and I found the truth. Well Helen, thanks for that. Now go to your apartment and re-read all the columns you ever wrote and feed those damn cats.
Hmmm... maybe she's a freeper. ;)
But daddy bush will be close by!
That said, I feel sorry for her. To be her age and to be that bitter is very sorry. I hope she can find peace- but she'll never find it in the profession she's in.
Your comment brings to mind the nastiness of the Democrats who forced Strom Thurmond to stay in the Senate when they were doing something at night a few years back (which escapes me at the moment).
One Democratic Senator asked to leave so that Strom could also leave without disturbing the balance of votes between Democrats and Republicans.
Hillary and Daschle(?) did not allow the Democratic Senator to go.
It seemed like a plot from some old mystery movie: Kill the aging senator by making him work too hard.
I think the Bush administration has been much kinder to Helen. If her feelings are badly hurt, it is probably due to her insistence on having the world revolve around her.
I was too. She needs to have more respect for the President of the United States. Who the hell does she think she is spouting off some hateful commentary, thinly veiled as a question.
If she continues to get snubbed her employer will either tell her to tone it down so their service can get a question in, or they will replace her.
