That's what would probably be most effective.
Ask him a question, and tell him if the information doesn't pan out you will remove a specified (minor )organ from one of his kids in front of him. If the info is faulty, follow through. He will then believe that you mean it when you ask him the next question. And like strip poker, the kids' most essential organs come ( or go) last.
