On the other hand, the threat is real. Pearl is in a vulnerable position and has lots of civilian air traffic.
On the other hand, the discussion regarding the vulnerability of "submarines" seems a bit ridiculous.
You can order the subs out for exercises. Presuming that they can stay away from Japanese fishing trawlers, our guys should be just fine.
Nuclear reactors in California/Washington are a security issue. SONUS is located just north of Camp Pendleton. Presuming that the USMC commander at Pendleton is true to his word, he has said that any terrorist getting close to the power station is going to see a missile flying between his eyes before he can hit SONUS.
I think SONUS is secure. Civilian planes might not be.

Yes, God save the fishing trawlers! My husband left the Greeneville, and missed that fiasco, thank goodness! I really do think that this is just a wild story, to get us talking. And, it is funny... I was getting tired of complaining about the UN!
