Wasn't he just on Cross-dress fire as a representative of the left or am I confusing him with someone else?

Yes, that's been my experience too. I also know a liberal who is a hardcore defender of RKBA. He is also a pipe smoker who despises the nico-nazis. His views on everything else are way over on the left and, despite his desire to hang onto his guns and tobacco, he votes democrat year after year.

Ah, one can look...As my old boss used to say "Just cause you're on a diet, don't mean you can't look at the menu"!

Ron Silver like James Woods is a Democrat. However, much to his credit he supported Giuliani every time he ran for mayor here in New York.
Leaopards don't change their spots, but it seems to me that Woods and Silver are honest old style semi-liberal democrats of the type that are becoming extinct as the FDR generation dies out.

Loved Monte Walsh. Westerns are an interest/hobby of mine and I can't praise Monte Walsh enough. Story, acting, scenery all outstanding.

Well said. I remember Woods' comment during Clinton's impeachment; he said the Republicans were motivated by principle. He was surprised they were willing to pursue impeachment despite public opinion being against them.

Wow, do you know that for a fact? If Dennis Hopper really voted for Bush I will be thrilled. He was so good in
"true romance" The scene with him and C. Walken is one of my all time favorites.

Isn't this the Ron Silver of "Those are OUR planes now" infamy? My thought also.

I think Sept 11. and the evils of the Clinton Admin turned many liberals into conservatives. I will agree with you Rin.

Close. But I peeked at the script. Silver's character is driving a SUV when the vehicle goes crazy and runs over many people all by itself. The SUV finally crashes into a MacDonalds where big macs surround Silver and force their way down his throat. Then a sudden blast of global warming, the secret sauce superheats which causes silver's to finger to twitch (opps, forgot to mention that his finger is stuck in the trigger guard of a large caliber pistol that was made by a special interest backed company that seeks to over through the barlett administration) and sets off the 120 gallons of spilled gas from the tank of the SUV). It is
later found Silver was wearing fur underpants that kept him from getting out of the SUV and a doctor pronounces that he would be alive if he did not wear fur, eat meat, sit in a SUV, or carry a firearm. Martin Sheen's character will just shake his head, sigh, and then sign a presidential directive banning everything but watching TV. Haaaahaaahahaha! You're probably right. Now there's an episode I might even watch.

he's paid a lot (sorry, alot)You had it right the first time. "A lot" is a two-word phrase, not one compound word.
To: jwalsh07
I thought he was a leftist. He was a big Clinton supporter.

Isn't this the Ron Silver of "Those are OUR planes now" infamy?Yes. But I think Silver got turned around by Rudolph Giuliani, for whom he campaigned. He saw the wretched mess that New York City had become under continual Democratic rule -- especially under David Dinkins, who let radical blacks riot against Jews for three days unimpeded (and commit two murders in the process).
So I think Silver may be a Giuliani Republican. That is to say, a very liberal Republican, but better than your usual Hollywood moron.
