A better analogy would be after the aliens had zapped a few cities and they still kept on dancing...

INTERNATIONAL ATLANTA: HUMAN SHIELDS: Ex-Marine's plan to protest Iraq war amounts to treason Larry Sampler - For the Journal-Constitution Monday, February 3, 2003
Ken Nichols O'Keefe, a former U.S. Marine, and his organization called "We the People" have decided they will travel by bus convoy to Iraq and place themselves in harm's way, ostensibly as human shields to prevent the United States from attacking.
Nichols was quoted as saying, "The potential for white Western body parts flying around with the Iraqi ones should make them think again about this imperialist oil war."
That is an inexcusably jingoistic and xenophobic statement, especially from someone who claims to represent "We the People."
To think that "white Western body parts" are somehow more sacred than innocents of other color or origin --- or to suggest that our government feels that way --- is crude and boorish and, it seems, completely in keeping with the intellectually amateurish nature of O'Keefe's mission and organization.
So, when a volunteer from New Zealand crows that "we are on the verge of something big," he can be forgiven for confusing "big" with "suicidal" or even "Darwinian" (in the context of the Darwin Awards, given to those who have chosen the most interesting and clever ways to remove themselves from the gene pool).

Yea, I read it. I couldn't resist. I still don't believe it!! I mean what ARE these people smoking??? I mean after 3 or 10 thousand miles, you'd think a few of them would just wake up a while and go..."Whoa, dude, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore!"
Concentration camp...they really think they're "noble", don't they. Silly, small minded, smarmy little nothings.

[Nichols O'Keefe] is being held this weekend in an Italian jail and is facing deportation to the United States. His mother, Pat, who is continuing on the journey to Baghdad, said: That would be the very worst outcome. It would be a disaster for him.For us too, Pat, for us too. We were all so looking forward to your son being terminated in Iraq, but we can't kill him back here in America! (Can we?) I suppose you and the others will have to do. Hurry along to you Uncle Saddam now, time is short!

O'Keefe, who had burned his passport in a symbolic bid to revoke his citizenship, is refused entry to Turkey on the grounds that his "World Citizen" documents are not recognised. This was quite possibly THE dumbest thing this guy did, short of organizing this trip to begin with. Did he think the border guards at all these countries were just going to let him waltz across their borders and into their territory?!!!

"Former US marine and Gulf War veteran Ken Nichols-O'Keefe, from Hawaii, who founded the organisation said he would be going on hunger strike while in Iraq until 10,000 people joined their cause.
Speaking at Tower Bridge in central London before the group left in three double-decker Routemaster buses, he said: "If we don't get 10,000 people, I think this is a world that will be hard to live in for all of us...."
IT DOESN'T APPEAR THAT WILL BE A PROBLEM, BUB!

What makes this so funny is the fact that these people are so stupid, ignorant, etc. "Rules? You mean I have to follow rules in order to get into someone else's country?"

.....plans to travel through the Balkans were aborted as too dangerous. Think about how absurd that statement is.
Those nasty Balkans just might try to steal their wallets. Oh well, it's off to Bagdad to catch those silly U.S. carpet bombs.

Ananova:
Greenpeace protesters board Gulf-bound ship
Greenpeace protesters have boarded a military supply ship in an anti-war protest.
Five campaigners from the conservation group have managed to get aboard the MV Lyra while at anchor in the Solent off Southampton.
The Lyra was awaiting a pilot to take her into Marchwood Military Port on Southampton Water when the protesters got on to the ship and set up a "peace camp" at the stern of the vessel.
The Greenpeace ship Rainbow Warrior is also at the scene.
The Lyra is carrying military vehicles on its decks for possible deployment to Iraq but Greenpeace said they did not know what was in her hold.
"This is part of Greenpeace's global campaign to prevent a military attack on Iraq which will kill thousands of civilians. This war is not justified," the spokesman said.
The protesters were hosed with water by the crew of the ship and a police launch was at the scene, Greenpeace said.
WHY RUIN THEIR FUN?
I say LET them hang there until they get to the GULF!!!
Don't the guys painting the "bow bulge" get that it will be UNDER WATER the whole way?
Proves just how smart they REALLY are!!!
HOWEVER THEIR SUCCESS IS CATCHING ON:

"Stage handler Ube Evans, 50, originally from Hay-on-Wye, said:
"Somebody's got to save humanity from themselves. I'm very scared. The whole point of being a human shield is that we can change public and world opinion."
Joe Letts, of Shaftesbury, Dorset, a bus operator who organised the transport and is also taking part in the project, said they expected thousands to join them as they travelled through Europe and he hoped the public would show their support.
The journey is expected to take around two weeks and if war did break out before they arrived Mr Letts said they would "drive into the conflict".
THIS I GOTTA SEE!!!

explain to me why I can't catch my breath It's the corned beef ...
he drove a van packed with corned beef to aid Hungarians
Humor is all in the details, and you just can't stop visualizing the "apostle of corned beef" ... only now nobody wants the corned beef, because it's not Marxist to eat corned beef, don't you care about the oppressed corn? or it's not Moslem to eat corned beef, don't you know beef isn't hallal, or is it pork ...
It's the details!
