NJ Eighth grade students who took the state's math test last year didn't do so well.

It was actually admitted that some "math" teachers in NJ never took a math course in college. The last time they took a math course was in high school.

I really feel sorry for kids in NJ who have these so-called math teachers. Of course, failure is always the parent's fault or the kid's, never the teacher's.

I think NJ needs some Hillsdale-trained teachers. God knows, teachers are paid very well in this state. You might as well get the best.

I also think that the NEA's complaining about uncertified parents teaching at home should stop also.

Sounds like the Hillsdale College’s Teacher Education Program is a tough one to get through.
