No on the EVA. Apparently NASA ran some diagnostics and was satisfied there was no problem.

No. Even if they did, there is nothing NASA could do about it. The only option was to bring the vehicle down regardless of the damage. There is no rescue possible.

No they didn't. MSNBC's space reporter said that NASA was aware of the tile damage yesterday. Didn't see a problem with it.
ABC is saying that there is a Soyuz pod that is attatched to the ISS to use as a life boat if the three crewmembers need to get home.
