"AIDS is one of the most easily prevented diseases on Earth. In fact, a person has to engage in activities that most of us would consider extraordinary to contract it."
Not only that, it is difficult to catch, except for the obvious direct methods like tainted blood, etc.
I was visiting a friend in Atlanta and we went out to dinner with a fellow who worked at CDC in the aids research and testing area. He told us that their research showed that catching aids was a lot more difficult than it is made out to be. He was speaking only to the transmission sexually, which was his area of study. He said that generally it takes several contacts with multiple partners for aids to establish itself. Considering the source, I have no reason to doubt it.
So you are absolutely correct when you say that it is probably the most easily preventable diseases on earth.

He said that generally it takes several contacts with multiple partners for aids to establish itself. Shhhhh... That's a secret the media has kept quiet for years. If this ever got out, public sympathy for AIDS infected people would evaporate.
Now repeat after me; They are arbitrary victims of this dreaded disease. They are arbitrary victims of this dreaded disease. They are arbitrary victims of this dreaded disease. Thats it, keep going.
