QUEEN CREEK, Arizona (CNN) -- A "deadly" weapons cache was uncovered in an Arizona storage facility Thursday by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, an agency spokesman said.

"There is a large cache of military firearms, including explosives, machine guns, a bazooka, a flame thrower," said a spokesman for the ATF in Phoenix. A Russian rocket-propelled grenade launcher also was seized.

To indicate the intellect of the media, the Phoenix talking heads and pens are calling this "cache" a collection of weapons of MASS DESTRUCTION!

If bazookas are outlawed, only outlaws will have bazookas.

Despite the huge arsenal this guy has, it was never used in anger or to hurt someone. This makes the case that 99.9999% of gun, bazooka and flame thrower owners are responsible citizens. Gun control is unecessary.

"This is an arsenal of weapons, it's a staggering amount of weapons we're pulling out. It's frightening the amount of firepower we found in this place."

He's working through a list of words, making sure to hit some of them more than once.

I don't think this guy broke any laws to the point of being a criminal. He just had them in a collection. Whats next? laws regarding what kind of and how much you can have in any kind of collection?

Do you realize that you sound like Maxine Waters talking about the Rodney King riots of 1992?

Someone should check me on this before you run out and get one, but as I understand it flamethrowers are not outlawed at the Fed level. No ATF registeration needed. Your local regs may vary.

flame throwers aren't even regulated.

I think many rocket launchers are not regulated, or at least are legal if slightly demilled. Used LAW tubes are not regulated, as far as I know.

I've heard that this was found via that tips program during the sniper rampage. So far, that's a rumor.

Would FReepers still be sticking up for this guy if he was named Mohammed? I suspect the reaction would be quite different.

Not directed at you in particular, just making the observation.
