To Art and Mary Ann via Budge:
My wife had the same situation 2 years ago. She spent 9 days in the hospital and underwent numerous tests. Most likely, Mary Ann will require further tests from a Gastro Internist, a possible Endoscopy, with followup screening. Also, as you probably know, Diverticulitus can be reduced with dramatic change in diet once inflamation is minimized.
Keep the Faith...All will be well!

((((((Hugs and continued well wishes for your wife!!!)))))
We are doing a diet now that seems like it would be soooo unhealthy. Because of the inflammation in the small intestine and the thickening of the descending colon wall...and of the small intestine wall, they have me eating a LOW Residue/Fiber diet!!!
While it appears you loose weight on this method of eating.. it sure seems wierd!! And.. I feel better.
:o)
So continued prayers that your wife will have permanently beat this thing..and for a happy life for you both.
Should know more about my future plans on the 27th and 28th after I see the docs again.
I had the Colonoscopy,..and the Endoscopy.. but we have to redo the Colonoscopy.. (ughhhhhh :o)
Thanks again FRiend.. Love, Mary Ann
