I’m thankful I am in good enough health to not have to see a physician in the past year, when I have been without health insurance for the first time since the late 1980s.

One word...COBRA. If you are going to be self-employed which is what free lancing is then you need to talk to your employer about insurance....That would be you. Therefore, it is your own fault that you dont have health insurance, but it sure is mighty convienent for you to make it sound like it's Bush's fault isn't it?
