Is this supposed to be a surprise? This is how Republicans have always treated conservatives. They treat us worse than Dimmycraps treat blacks. We get all the rhetoric, they get all the action. They talk like Ronald Reagan, then they govern like Nelson Rockefeller.

If conservaties would support a genuinely conservative party, one devoted to the Constitution and limited government, we'd do ourselves a lot more good, IMO. It's time to stop being taken for granted.

Your post is so filled with falsehoods I suspect your agenda. Such "conservatives" as you would produce a party capable of getting as many votes as the Libertarians i.e. not enough to elect an alderman in Chicago.

These "conservatives" have no clue about politics or how to effectuate change. They can and should be ignored since they are clueless lamebrains.

Too bad your candidates didn't win on Nov. 5.

I'm a pro-life conservative. Please read the rest of the posts in this thread. The bill was defeated with a large republican vote.

We are not being, nor are we going to be taken for granted. Bush will push this issue as far as politically possible. He will push it in increments--and possibly after winning some issues that the independents are more comfortable with than abortion. I hope he can push it a long way. But the worst thing that could happen for our cause would be for Bush and the rest of the Republicans to commit quick political suicide by letting the RATS newt us.

The RATS have had 70 years to mess things up. Roe vs Wade is only one of many grievous wounds bleeding in the side of our country. It's going to take more than 2 years to fix things. Let's work together to build a power base that will last for 50 years so we can take back America from these people--and keep it. If we don't work together, we are doing Hillary Clinton's work and the work of Planned Parenthood.

Instant gratification followed by angry hysterics when we don't get our way immediately will accomplish nothing for our cause. NOTHING!

It can't be a one-issue party, and there has to be a logical cohesion to the values it supports.

Example: pro-lifers support the rights of pre-birth infants to survive.

conservationists support the rights of trees, and snakes, and everything else alive to survive

close the border folks support the dignity of the nation's values, laws, and current population

blacks and other established (citizen) minorities want to protect what they have spent their whole lives striving for; how will they ever get ahead with the status quo? Plus, for blacks, many of them religious, life is sacred.

Now, watch all of the one-issue folks go crazy with this list, how they couldn't live with such a coalition. Well, we live with a coalition along these lines, or babies keep being slaughtered, but don't worry, those SUVs will have plenty of fuel.
