One Man, One Vote Tom Daschle Isn't Up for Reelection, but He Could Still Lose Big Tomorrow
By Mark Leibovich Washington Post Staff Writer
IOWA CITY
Tom Daschle makes a small entrance. He arrives commotion-free, a few minutes early for a campaign rally for Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) at the University of Iowa's Memorial Union. As he waits for Harkin, Daschle doesn't so much work the room as mill through it, gently, shaking hands and telling everyone how "terrific it is to be in Iowa" in a deep voice that's barely audible.

Those dead people are more excited than he is.
Yeah, a "deep" voice, kind of like Truman Capote's basso profundo.
Either the race in SD is in the bag for Thune, or Daschle knows where the votes are (think Indian Reservation).
deep voice . . . has a knack for looking well rested . . . sharp and lively blue eyes and a morning-fresh pompadour of excellent brown hair. [!?!?!] . . . his lean runner's body
Is this an article or a homo love letter from Mark Leibovich?
I am wondering why Dashole needs to look for a friendlier audience .. Wasn't this a Harkin Rally full of Rats??
BTW what is the lead Harnkin has??
In the world's largest Democracy (India) a voter dips the tip of their index finger in red dye after they vote.
No retina scan, no finger print check, no photo ID.
Anyone showing up at the polls with a red finger tip can't vote again. It's a very simple, low tech, cheap, nonintrusive way of insuring one person one vote...
Are his policies dead?.. of corpse!
He's looking for a friendlier audience because he isn't WANTED in those close races. FL's McBride didn't invite Clinton until he was waaaay behind. I don't believe Hillary's been to FL, or SD. She was in MN as part of a group giving her cover.
