alot of people knew about this - in fact, I have some NJ friends who know even more about the extent of his activities. the entire press corp covering NJ politics knew about this, and knows alot more to this day.

so far, it looks like McG did himself some good with this stunt - his approval rating is up 3 points according to a story I heard tonight.

Thanks. It took so long to surface because the press wasn't interested in the story. What's happend is that Cipel was appartnly exotorting McGreevy, and McGreevy was going to be in big trouble for some other things. His resigning is a brilliant political move. After a few months all that will be remembered of him is that the gay governor had to resign because society is so homophobic. In a few years he will run for the Senate.
