Q: Do you know the real reason Moses wandered in the desert for 40 years?
A: Because even back then men wouldn't stop and ask for directions.

The Value Of A Smile
A smile cost nothing, but gives much. It enriches those who
receive, without making poorer those who give. It takes but a
moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so
rich or mighty that he can get along without it, and none is so
poor but that he can be made rich by it.
A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in
business, and is the countersign of friendship. It brings rest to
the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and is
nature's best antidote for trouble. Yet it cannot be bought,
begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no
value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired
to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a
smile so much as he who has no more to give.

Air Power
BOEING B-47E "STRATOJET"
The Boeing B-47, the world's first swept-wing bomber, made its initial flight on Dec. 17, 1947 and quantity deliveries began in 1951. When production ended in 1957, more than 1,200 Stratojets were serving with the Strategic Air Command at USAF bases throughout the world. By the late 1960s, the B-47 was obsolete and was removed from operational service.
The B-47 normally carried a crew of three--pilot, copilot (who operated the tail turret by remote control), and an observer who also served as navigator, bombardier and radar operator. In the RB-47 reconnaissance version, the navigator also operated the camera equipment.
The B-47E pictured was used at Wright-Patterson AFB from 1967-69 as a test-bed aircraft. It was the first USAF aircraft to incorporate a "fly-by-wire" primary flight control system in which the pilot's command controls are transmitted to the control surfaces by electrical wires rather than by cables and mechanical linkages.

Bless This House hummed along with this morning, twice because I love this song for our USO Canteen, and
Prayer of Protection said for all who enter the USO Canteen Freeper Style, including our troops, our veterans, their families and our allies.
Welcome to all who come to honor our troops, for whom this USO Canteen was created.
A PRAYER OF PROTECTION
The light of God surround you
The love of God enfold you
The power of God protect you
The presence of God watch over you
Wherever you are, God is,
And all is well.
Amen.
Wherever you are, God is, And all is well.

Joe
US Army
I salute you Joe, and I salute your Dad!
My Dad was an Instructor for B-24's and B-29's. He had a disability that prevented him from being on an Aircrew during WWII, he was too tall (6'3"). They said he would be too cramped in the confined turrets on the planes. The flight Dr's granted him a waiver so that he could teach gunnery and bombing.
Joe, you and I both have Dads to be proud of. And, I am confident that you will surpass the bar your Dad set with his Service back then. You are part of the best equiped, best trained, motavated warriors ever to walk the Earth.
God Bless you, and keep you safe.

I am here supporting you because I did serve, long ago. But not so long ago that I forgot what it is like. I remember the seperation from loved ones. I remember how important it was to get a letter from home.
My bod may not allow me to be there now, but I am with you in spirit. And I will be here to support you any way I can.
I give thanks to God for you serving today.

God Bless you for serving.
It is great to here that we are helping in our small way. Please let us know that you are OK on occasion. The girlz here tend to fret when we don't here anything for a long time.
In the meantime, I will continue to post the jokes and stuff for you. How about this one . . .
Subject: DYING PREACHER
Dying Preacher
An old preacher was dying.
He sent a message for his doctor and his lawyer, who were both
church members, to come to his home. When they arrived, they were ushered
up to his bedroom. As they entered the room the preacher held out his
hands and motioned for them to sit, one on each side of his bed.
The preacher grasped their hands, sighed contentedly, smiled and
stared at the ceiling.
For a time, no one said anything. Both the doctor and lawyer were
touched and flattered that the preacher would ask them to be with
him during his final moments. They were also puzzled; the preacher had
never given them any indication that he particularly liked either
of them. They both remembered his many long, uncomfortable sermons
about greed, covetousness and avaricious behavior that made them squirm
in their seats.
Finally, the doctor said, "Preacher, why did you ask us to come?
The old preacher mustered up his strength, then said weakly, "Jesus
died between two thieves.. and that's how I want to go."

I get a kick outta posting the different planes. I am learning about them at the same time. I am amazed at how fast the planes were developed. I mean, in less than 100 years we went from the Wright Flyer to the SR-71. WOW! Think of all the thousands of minds it took to develop those planes. All working together to give you the best tools in the world.
God Bless you for defending this great Country.
