That's no understatement! The Brady Bunch runs what's been called a "paper mill". A quotes B who quotes C who quotes D who was quoting A. As a group, they churn out a tremendous volume of "scholarly" papers. Their lawyers can then point to the staxk of paper and claim that "most scholarship backs our position." Of late, the bottom of that stack of paper has been the works of Bellesiles. Yank it out, and the whole stack falls over!
(This also has a bearing on Emerson. As I recall, Bellesiles' work formed a large part of the Government's and the VPC's positions.)
