"'Too skinny' is relatively easy to cure, it often cures itself."

HA!

Well I'd suspect Annie would have no trouble a'tall finding someone who'd *volunteer* to feed her Hershey Kisses in an effort to cure her "condition," I'm sure.

I wouldn't mind popping for a "shift" or two, myself.

...interesting conversations with this Angel would know no bounds. ;^)

"Maybe he could get on as a senate page."

Ouch!!
I suppose ya can never get too low speaking about a Leamstream, sycophant quisling Urinalist freshly outa work, huh?
"Be still, thy heart." :o)

"BTW, Annie IS mean...in a nice sorta way."

That she is & in a realistic sort of way, too.
One can always gauge the effectiveness of our pundits by the dBs measured from 'Rat squeels.

Annie had better not ever consider changing.

...she's absolutely *perfect* just as she is.

"ROFLMAO!! You do know how to bring a smile to my face, my FRiend...good mornin' to you, too...MUD"

Well, you make my job almost too easy, Mud.
And in-keeping with the image of my sporting one of those Kilt things, "Top 'o the morning to you too, Laddy!" :o)

I mean really, wearing a Kilt (dress) & getting bossed around by my li'l bride?
When I told her that last night during cocktail hour?

...she just rolled her eyes & murmured, "I wish..."

Sorta. I modified a "Night of the Living Dead" poster/ad. I'm working on a larger one that's gonna take some time, but in the meantime I'll get this one on the other thread. Glad you liked it; I like sending a message in a pic; for me it seems to have more impact. But maybe that's just me...

Worry not, Mudboy: (1) He's already got my book (or I would have heard otherwise) and (2) no one could tell if you were serious about parting with a SIGNED copy of that book anyway. That is TOTALLY generous of you.

OMG...I completely forgot to come back and thank you guys! So: Thank you thank you thank you! Yes, FTH, I got your book and I think it's a great children's book. I'm definitely keeping it in my library for when I have kids (assuming I ever get a date again between now and my eventual demise).

Mudboy: Don't worry about being slow. Sometimes I've been that slow myself. And sending a book to me late is still 100% better than not getting the delivery EVER. Sometime last year I asked NYC Freepers if one of them could buy a copy of the New York Post (it was their special 200th Anniversary issue), and offered to pay and everything. (The paper's only a quarter, and probably wouldn't cost more that $1.50 to mail.) So one Freeper - whose name I have thankfully forgotten, otherwise I'd still be tweaking them in threads to this day - sent me freepmail saying "Hey, I've got two copies here already. I'll send you one tonight! My treat!" I never heard from him/her again, either on FR or via the USPS. And I had been looking forward to that issue for almost a year. Grrrr....

Timesink, you could always join us this Saturday in DC at the Washington monument for our Patriots' Rally and get the book in person.

Sincerely,

Interesting. You avoided a direct denial of the premise that everything listed in Ann's description of the Kennedys is true and tried to bring my family into this. Typical liberal, can't argue the facts so must resort to the personal. Also, completely unworthy of someone claiming to be a daughter of Rohan.

As "my lot" aren't treated like royalty and don't act as if it is their God given right to rule, I think comparisons are a bit difficult. But if you want to compare, "my lot" include doctors, farmers, businessmen, sailors, and soldiers. Unless I'm mistaken, the last living Kennedy to genuinely serve his country did so in WWII and died in '63. The rest include rapists, drunks, drug addicts, serial adulterers, and convicted murderers.

It's only a biased opinion but based on what I know about the Kennedy clan, the best of their lot don't stack up to the very worst of mine, nor yours I'd wager, so please cut the "let him who is without sin ..." crap.

One thing about Ann, she gets to say in public things that we think or talk about on FR.

I wish I could, but I'm not in Charles Town or anything. I'm literally as far west in West Virginia as you can get. It would be a 5-6 hour drive each way. It would probably be 1 or 2 hours less if there was a direct highway, but from where I am you either have spend two hours driving north before you can start heading east, or drive sort-of-east with a slight southern turn, and then drive 2 or 3 hours north in Virginia. I've asked Sen. Byrd to build me a direct road, but I guess he's used up his $100 billion yearly WV handout.

Yeah, after he finishes dolling things out to his KKK buddies, I doubt there's much left. Well, it sounds like you live in a beautiful part of the world.

Ann Coulter resorts to yelling, cheap shots & insults when she doesn't have an intelligent response to someone who has one-upped her. You said the "rest [of the Kennedy family] include rapists, drunks, drug addicts, serial adulterers, and convicted murderers." It also includes philanthropists, teachers, and many other who are doing good works. You continue with "It's only a biased opinion but based on what I know about the Kennedy clan, the best of their lot don't stack up to the very worst of mine...You admit it is a biased opinion. You admit limited knowledge of the Kennedy clan. That says it all.

Eowyn of Rohan is not a puppet or a sheep for any political group or single line of thought, liberal or conservative or anything else. She thinks for herself.

Please don't take what I wrote you personally. We can agree to disagree about the Kennedys and you can, of course, hold your own opinions about them and the tactics and rhetoric of Ann Coulter. My opinions are that the Kennedys are far from deserving of the deification they receive in our press, and Ann is just giving the left strong doses of their own medicine.

Are Ann Coulter's tactics effective ? I think so, because there is a segment of the voting public who can only be reached by the inflamatory. People like Begala and Carville understand this.

The use of caricature to register a "truth" about a person, or an issue, can be extremely effective. Is it a propaganda tool ? Of course. Can it be done unfairly or in the service of a bald faced set of lies ? Sure. If you go to a library in Baton Rouge and pull a book about Joseph Goebbels off the shelf you'll no doubt find James Carville's finger prints on every page. My point was and is that Ann's caricatures are based on the truth and in the final analysis will, I think, have a positive political effect.
