LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Actor Martin Sheen is endorsing Democratic U.S. Sen. Carl Levin in Michigan's U.S. Senate race.
Sheen, who plays President Josiah Bartlet on TV's "The West Wing," appears in a video on Levin's Web page. Sheen mentions Levin's longtime support for tougher corporate accountability standards, campaign finance reform and arms control.
"Since arriving in the Senate, Carl Levin has earned the respect of his colleagues and the people of Michigan for his hard work and his high standard of personal integrity," Sheen says in the video. "Because of what he's done and what he stands for, he deserves our support."
Sheen asks viewers to contribute or volunteer for Levin's campaign. The video is part of a so-called Cyber Rally that was to be officially unveiled Wednesday on Levin's Web site.
Levin's Republican challenger, state Rep. Andrew Rocky Raczkowski, pointed out that he won the endorsement of President Bush, who campaigned in Michigan on Monday.
"It seems we both got endorsed by presidents. We just happened to get endorsed by the real one," Raczkowski spokesman Joe Steele said.
Also running for Levin's seat are Natural Law Party candidate Doug Dern; Green Party candidate Eric Borregard; and Reform Party candidate John Mangopoulos.

If there isn't enough reason to vote against Lenin, there's one more.
I'm voting for Rocky.(Andrew Raczkowski)
BTW - Martin, you don't live in Michigan, so who gives a damn what you think.

So what? Who cares what a fictional president thinks? These Hollywood folks are self-important to the Nth degree.

That any Michigan voter would give a rat's posterior as to Sheen's opinion is an insult from the word go - and Levin ought to be ashamed of touting such a hollow endorsement. Then again - its demonRATS who always play to the self-interested, short-sighted, clueless members of society.

The polls have Lenin at 62%. The GOP isn't doing a thing for Rocky, so he's on his own.
It'll take a miracle.
To: My2Cents
An endorsement from (TV) President Bartlett is all Levin will need to win. Then he can go on roadblocking the real-life President Bush's Judge nominees.
To: Dan from Michigan
Why does Levin get a pass every six years? And where the hell is Engler?

Martin Sheen and several other "make believe humans", are long overdue for a serious bitch slapping.
They better be praying that this country remains "under control" -- and that it doesn't go "postal" in anger.
I suspect it wouldn't take much to push large numbers, over the edge seeking revenge.

The ratings are down for that lame show. Sheen will be yesterday's endorsement soon.
